Diabetes

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that evolves over time, and that manifests itself by increasing blood sugar and urine sugar appearance . Thus, the patient feels the need to drink plenty of fluids , has an exaggerated appetite and urinating large amounts of liquid. Also, it has frequently abscess , urinary infections and periodontitis .

Diabetes mellitus is the most common endocrine disease, is characterized by complications that develop over time and affect the eyes, kidneys , nerves and blood vessels . These signs may occur suddenly in patients younger than 40 years , and which usually are not obese . In overweight symptoms appear gradually in the second half of life.


Types of diabetes

One . Juvenile diabetes , the presence of acetone in the urine acid-base imbalance and decrease alkaline reserve . Usually, this is a serious form , and the person is insulin- dependent .

Two . Fat Diabetes occurs in adults and the elderly . At first, this form of diabetes can be treated with a hygienic-dietary regime by homeopathy and phytotherapy . If they do not give the expected results go to the next step, namely , administration of insulin.

sage leaves should be macerated and then eaten cold ;
Nettle leaves , all administered as an infusion is prepared from 60 g of leaves per liter of water and drink 2 cups a day .


Hygienic regime - diet is the most important measure in the evolutionary stages of the disease. The diabetic patient must know the 3 types of food in his life :

One . Prohibited foods : sugar and sugar products , dried fruits ( figs , raisins , dates, prunes) , cakes , ice cream, sweet wine , wine , syrups , grapes .
Two . Foods that should be eaten in limited amounts : bread, potatoes , pasta , fruits, vegetables by more than 5 % carbohydrate , milk , yogurt , cottage cheese.
Three . Foods that can and eaten without restriction meat and meat derivatives , fish, eggs , cheese , cream , butter , oil, vegetables 5% carbohydrates.

After carbohydrate content foods are classified :

5% carbohydrate foods : cabbage, cauliflower, stevia , sweet peppers , eggplant , zucchini , tomatoes , cucumbers , green beans , radishes , mushrooms , watermelon , oranges, tangerines , grapefruit , blueberries , milk, cottage cheese ;
10% carbohydrate foods : carrots , onions , beets , celery, green peas , strawberries , cherries , apples, pears , peaches , grapes, walnuts, hazelnuts , polenta ;
15 % carbohydrate foods : apples Jonathan apricots ;
20 % carbohydrate foods : potatoes, dry beans , bananas , plums , pasta .
50 % carbohydrate foods : bread .

Spa treatment against diabetes requires an internal treatment , in which folosec mineral water , alkaline , sulfur, sulfate, calcium , magnesium . This treatment is not recommended for diabetic patients dependent on high doses of insulin or severe complications .

This makes it possible occurrence of diabetes 2 major complications :

One . Diabetic ketoacidosis , caused by deficiency of insulin in parallel with increasing concentrations of glucagon, occurs often , if treatment with insulin. The patient has no appetite, has greaturi , vomiting, urinating frequently and in larger quantities has abdominal pain. Left untreated it can lead to coma .

Two . Hyperosmolar coma , dehydration syndrome pronounced in conditions of insufficient intake of water. Urgent treatment is realized with large amounts of intravenous fluids , potassium bicarbonate .


insulin

Its administration is needed in patients who do not respond to natural treatments , diet or treatment with oral agents . Depending on the duration of action and the date of coming into action , there are three types of insulin : fast , intermediate and slow . Rapid insulin begins working after an hour of administration , the maximum effect after 6 hours, and the maximum duration of action is 16 hours. Intermediate insulin begins working after 2 ½ hours of dosing , peak effect is observed after 11 h and the total duration of action is 25 hours.

Conventional therapy involves administering insulin injections 1-2 intermediate day. Intensive insulin therapy is performed by intermediate-acting insulin or long evening with rapid insulin before each meal . It should be noted that before exercising decrease insulin dose is needed .
